The overall approach to designing this clinic was to create a tranquil and relaxing environment through use of curvilinear lines, organic shapes, textures and lighting. A strong architectural element in form of a curved wall was introduced that seamlessly flows from the main waiting area into the hallway of the clinic. This wall that is heart of the clinic not only binds the spaces but also serves different purpose in different areas - like framing of the reception area, backdrop for artwork or is punctured in places to create niches for visual diversity.
To further evoke sense of calm in patients lighting was used as an important strategy - cove light along the curved wall further softens its appearance, in the hallway ceiling it serves a directional purpose, spot light in niches create moments of brightness to direct eye to the product whereas it serves an utilitarian purpose in exam and procedure rooms.
Another vital element is the tone on tone palette which was achieved with material like wood, stone, textured wallpaper inspired by natural materials to create an atmosphere of tranquility. Use of art and decor pieces inspired from natural material further contributes to this soothing peaceful ambience. Finally, to create a look of sophisticated luxury, gold accents were included and distributed throughout the space through furniture details and some decor items. The ultimate goal of the design was to create a functional space that is not only comfortable but is visually appealing that creates a memorable experience
